Tightly wound and complex. Stoney mineral notes. White licorice. Beautifully balanced.
Fruit sourced from a single vineyard planted in the early ‘90s with classic Ordovician soils - a mixture of mudstone, shale, and granite. The character and texture of the vineyard shines through this wine.
Aged in large-format oak (foudre), clay egg (giving fineness on the back palate), and barrique. No new oak. The structure and integrity of the fruit is intense.
Savoury, salty, tighter, and finer on every aspect of the palate. This wine will improve in the glass.
